Biography

Ekin Ober is a strategic leader at the intersection of finance, energy transition, and technology. She currently heads Corporate Initiatives at Kinterra Capital, where she drives value creation across the firm and its portfolio by leading strategic growth initiatives, forging joint ventures, and optimizing deal structures, offtake agreements, land strategies, and public funding opportunities. Previously, Ekin was the CEO of Aethos Labs, where she spearheaded the development of AI solutions to accelerate project development and investment decisions in the battery supply chain. She’s also advised mining companies and OEMs on decarbonization strategies, and brings deep expertise from her earlier roles as an investment banker executing multimillion-dollar deals across the industrial and manufacturing sectors, and as a securities lawyer representing mining companies in complex regulatory matters. Ekin is a frequent speaker at global clean energy and mobility conferences, and a recognized voice on the future of sustainable infrastructure and industrial innovation. She holds a J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School and an MBA from the Schulich School of Business.
