- Biography
- Energy Engineer specializing in hardware and software development for energy storage systems. As a researcher at IREC and a PhD student at UPC, his thesis focuses on developing physics-based reduced-order battery models to enhance state prediction algorithms in Battery Management Systems. His work combines: electrochemical cell parameter characterization with reduced-order modeling techniques for implementing complex physics-based models in embedded systems, followed by the development of physics-informed indicators to improve state-of-charge and state-of-health estimations in real time. The objective of his research is to enable more efficient use of lithium-ion batteries through improved cell state monitoring and control—paving the way for more sustainable energy storage applications.
